Do better CPO when it comes to ensuring that licensing bodies are ethical and valid. Rod Hamilton is a do nothing, he is treatening physiotherapists who are speaking up on the fact that the college is doing nothing to ensure licensing of thousands of physiotherapist candidates. He is a bully and doesn't deserve the position he holds. Im embarrased by the actions of my college. Do better!"

They have the worst management anyone can imagine. Firstly the registration team hangs up the call every time I try to call. I cant even get a person on line. They never replies to your email. Our license are at stake we are trying to have some clarification on eligibility criteria. The least they can do is to receive a call and help the the person get more clear idea.

Is there any evidence that the practical exam actually has any benefit for public safety? Because it seems that the only province not mandating it has a 3x decreased rate of physio incidents per physio population compared to Ontario. No other developed country has this type of exam for their physiotherapists and yet they continuously produce highly competent and safe physiotherapists - Where is the evidence that the Canadian practical exam, aside from bringing in nearly $5,000,000 in revenue for those running it, actually provides benefit for the public?

The CPO is unable to license over a thousand physiotherapists, WHY?? It's been 2 years. Chiro,s RMTs, Nurses, MDs, they have all managed to problem solve during this pandemic, yet we are the ONLY profession who has been unable to come up with a viable solution. Even though a viable solution was offered by the 5 Universities across Ontario to have a residency program to immediately license the PTs, they have simply refused.

As a member, I appreciate part of their need to protect the public.Part of their mandate against any form of review from clients (testimonials) seems to contradict their mandate. Their claim is that all therapists are equal.I have used reviews for movers, restaurants, movies, products, doctors, and trades. Somehow, physios are different. To make it more of a farce, if a company does not change their advertising criteria to comply, and the owner is not a physiotherapist, the employee will be prosecuted (either lose your job or face disciplinary action).Addendum.As well, an individual physio cannot offer rewards for booking but a corporation like Lifemark can.Despite their rules clearly stating that it is unacceptable.Looks like you can circumvent the rules if you are big and they are too scared to take you on.
